Performance Aim B

Monday 3rd Feb.

For our performance pieces Grace and I have decided to perform Secret by Missy Higgins and Royals By Lorde. We chose these songs because Royals and Secret are two different genres of music. Having listened to the 'Secret' the riff through out the song was very easy to play so using different techniques grace and I played the guitar together. we decided that a good idea for our performance was link one song into another remixing the two songs (secret and royals). This week we did a music workshop on how to project our voices and pronounce are words correctly we also got advise on stage presence. We used this warm up in prep for the upcoming performance. Although the performance will be nerve racking the warm up will be effective. In the warm up it consisted of singing up and down the scale and Pharrell singing.

Wednesday 5th Feb

Grace and I have listened to the songs now multiple times and having done this we have incorporated harmonies into the bridge and chorus. We have decided to try this out for a little while to see how this goes. when putting in the harmonies grace and i have decided that, because i have a higher voice than grace, will do the higher harmonies and grace should do the lower harmonies to create a good effect. we input the harmonies into the louder and more shout'ier' parts because we thought that two voices together and harmonised would create a more powerful performance.

Tuesday 11th Feb
Grace and I have decided on two different songs this week because Miss Harris informed us that two songs remixed together counts as only one. We have decided that due to our time and how many weeks we have left until our performance that we would try out different songs and experiment with different genres, however, the roles are still going to be the same. As my voice is higher then graces when singing, i will be the hormonies whilst playing the intrument and grace would be the lead singer.

Wednesday 26th Feb
Grace and I decided on two songs which are Titanium by David Guetta and Someone like you by Adele. Kelly and Charlotte asked to be in our group so they are now incorporated into our performance. Kelly and Charlotte have higher voices then me so they will sing and harmonies with grace whilst I play the piano. We sorted out particular parts for each person
